Price Outline for Psychological Services
We understand that the decision to see a psychologist for intervention and assessment can be a significant financial commitment. To help alleviate financial stress our fees for individual therapy are lower than the recommended rate per hour put forth by the Australian Psychological Society.
Fees and rebates are dependent on the type of services required and which practitioner is seen at Augmentia Health. Fees can be reduced or offset by Medicare rebates, Health Insurance rebates, Workers Compensation, CTP and NDIS.

Bulk Billing is not available at Augmentia Health. Fees can be paid by direct deposit, credit card, EFTPOS, cash or cheque prior to or at the time of the appointment.
Assessments differ depending on the nature of the assessment and may include parent interview, administration and scoring of standardised and non-standardised assessments, and social observations.

Treatment and Therapy
Therapy appointments are typically booked for 50-minute sessions on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. We have different fee structures dependent on the therapist that you see at Augmentia Health, the below table provides you with a guide of our fees please note that this may differ depending on the Therapist you see at Augmentia Health. Fees are subject to change at any time without notice.

Community based sessions include 1 hour observation/therapy session at home or school including travel to and from site and feedback to both caregiver and school contact. Please contact our friendly admin team who will be able to provide you with the fees based on your individual circumstances.
Report or Letter Writing
Fees will be incurred if you require us to process or write any support letters/reports, or consultations with other agencies other than your General Practitioner regarding your treatment plan. This fee is charged at a pro-rata rate and this can range from $175 to $240 per hour depending on the Therapist. Please contact our friendly admin team who will be able to provide you with the fees based on your individual circumstances. Full payment must be received prior to reports/letters or supporting documentation being released. At Augmentia Health we require a 48-hour cancellation notice period prior to your appointment.

Private & Medicare Appointments
- 50% of full appointment fee will be charged for cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice.
- 100% of full appointment fee will be charged for cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice.
- The FULL FEE will be charged for an appointment that has been missed with no notice (non-attendance).
- A $210.00 fee will be charged for cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice.
We understand that sometimes you may be unable to keep an appointment because of sudden illness or an unexpected personal emergency. If this happens to you, please contact us as soon as possible to explain the situation. You may call our office at any time, even after hours, as we do have an answering service that allows you to leave a message.
The APS recommended cancellation fees are:
- 0-24 hours notice: Full fee
- 24-48 hours notice: 50% of fee
- 48 hours – 7 days notice: 25% of fee
